LR man expected to survive after being shot

A Little Rock man suffered non-life-threatening injuries after being shot multiple times Wednesday near Monroe and West 20th streets, authorities said.

Travis Weston, 28, was shot four times on his left hip, left thigh and his leg lower leg about 8:30 p.m., according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Police say a witness told investigators he saw a black man get out of a vehicle and then start shooting at two other men in the area.

The witness said one of the victims fell in a yard before getting up and running away.

Weston was reported to be a patient at UAMS Medical Center a short time later. He told detectives he had been shot by three white men, the report said.

Police returned to the scene of the shooting, where they found several shell casings and a blood trail, according to the report.

The witness' truck was shot multiple times, but he was not injured.
