Authorities are currently in custody of over $2 million in marijuana after it was discovered in northern Faulkner County.

The drugs were found in a field by a group of surveyors working in the area near Solomon Grove Road, according to FCSO Chief Deputy Matt Rice. The surveyors contacted the sheriff's office, who investigated the area and found even more marijuana.

In all, 2,117 marijuana plants were found, with their total estimated street valued being $2,117,000, according to a release from the department. The plants will be taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for testing.

No one has been charged in the case at this time.
