Little Rock police Friday identified a woman whose body was found in a pile of burning tires Thursday on the town's south side.

Amy May Hughett, 31, of Little Rock was found dead behind a vacant storage facility in the 5200 block of Young Road, authorities said.

Firefighters had been called about 6 a.m. to the scene, and when they arrived, they found four or five tires ablaze. Not until they extinguished the fire did they see Hughett's remains.

It was too difficult to tell whether she had been injured before the fire started, Little Rock Police Department Sgt. Cassandra Davis said Thursday.

No motive or suspect has been developed in Hughett's death, police said.
