Mayflower woman wins $2 million on scratch-off

A Mayflower woman has won $2 million on a scratch-off ticket, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery said.

Linda Newsom claimed the prize Monday afternoon, spokesman Kevin McCarthy said.

He said Newsom purchased the winning $2 million Gold Rush ticket at the Quick Mart in Mayflower. The ticket cost $20.

McCarthy said Newsom plans to invest the winnings.

McCarthy said he didn't have information on Newsom's age or occupation.
