Battle: The series of Civil
War sesquicentennial events marches on with the Battle of
Helena 150. While the battle itself was fought July 4, 1863, this commemoration is planned for May 24-26 in Helena-West Helena. The Delta Cultural Center and the Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission are joining forces for three days of re-enactments, skirmishes, tours, music, lectures, demonstrations and all-things 1860s.

Butterfly: Opera in the Ozarks, providing beautiful music in a beautiful setting, opens its 2013 season June 21. This year it will present productions of Madama Butterfly, Elixir of Love and Pirates of Penzance at Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony Theatre on U.S.
