Relay for Life

RUSSELLVILLE — A kick-off meeting for the 2014 Pope and Yell County Relay for Life will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Russellville Chamber of Commerce building on West Main Street. The meeting will serve as a wrap-up for the 2013 Relay. Evensong Observance

CONWAY — The Hendrix College Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Karen Griebling, along with Hendrix College Chaplain the Rev. Wayne Clark, will present an evensong observance for All Souls Day at 7:30 p.m. in Greene Chapel at Hendrix. Guest artists will be the Chancel Choir from First United Methodist Church and the Rockefeller String Quartet of the Arkansas Symphony, as well as adjunct music

Master Gardeners Open House

John Two-Hawks Performance

MORRILTON — The University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton will present John Two-Hawks for a free community event at 6:30 p.m. in celebration of Native American Heritage Month. Two-Hawks is a Grammy- and Emmy-nominated recording artist and is the recipient of a Platinum Award. Two-Hawks’ show will take place in the UACCM Fine Arts Auditorium. Trail Dedication

RUSSELLVILLE — The Wildlife Observation Trail dedication has been postponed because of the weather and has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday. The trail is at 6630 U.S. 64 W. in Illinois Bayou Park. The trail was funded by a grant from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. The public is invited to attend.

Art Exhibit

CONWAY — The University of Central Arkansas Department of Art will present the BA/BFA Juried Senior Exhibition. Works in all media by candidates for graduation will be on view Thursday through Dec. 5 in the McCastlain Hall Baum Gallery. Public receptions will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday and from 2-4 p.m. Nov. 17. Gallery hours each week are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday; and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

The Caucasian Chalk Circle

Goosebumps

CONWAY — Everything weird, creepy, grotesque and downright scary will be center stage for Goosebumps, an exhibit curated by Hannah Mosby, a University of Central Arkansas art history student. Food for Fines

CONWAY — The Faulkner County Library will hold its Food for Fines program for the Thanksgiving season. The library will accept nonperishable food items through Nov. 22. Donated items will be given to local shelters and food pantries for the holidays. The library will waive fines for overdue items when food is donated. The Locals Fundraiser

CONWAY — The Locals coffee shop and retail space will hold a launch party and fundraising event at 6 p.m. Nov. 15 at 1024 Van Ronkle St. The event will include music performances, games and contests for prizes, and more. Performers will include the up-and-coming local folk-rock band Big Ginsburg, Swampbird, and the Pneumatic Girls with Jack Alberson, a University of Arkansas alum from Memphis.
