Arkansas State Police has issued a Silver Alert for a missing Mountain Home man.
In a statement released Wednesday afternoon, police say that 48-year-old John Thompson was last known to be at Mountain Valley Condos no. 18 near Dryers Mountain about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Johnson is described as a 5-foot-11 white man with short brown hair, blue eyes and a beard and mustache that's short and graying. He was last seen wearing a T-shirt, bluejeans and a black bomber jacket.
Police say Johnson is handicapped and suffers from depression and "some mental illness."
