Jacksonville man accused of stabbing brother to death

The North Little Rock Police Department said Saturday that a 26-year-old man has been charged in second-degree murder after police said he stabbed his brother to death.

About 8:42 p.m., police responded to a stabbing report at a residence located at 2706 Arkansas Ave., according to a release. Police found North Little Rock resident Quentin Rogers, 21, with a stab wound to his stomach area on the home's porch.

Rogers was taken by ambulance to the UAMS Medical Center where he later died from his injuries, the release states.

Police said Jacksonville resident Demedrick Rogers, who is the victim's brother, fled the scene before officers arrived. Demedrick later turned himself in at 5 a.m. Saturday to the Pulaski County jail, where detectives questioned him.

An investigation is ongoing.
