1st Quarter

ARKANSAS 7, MISSISSIPPI STATE 0

Arkansas converted two third downs - on Brandon Allen’s 16-yard slant pass to Keon Hatcher and Korliss Marshall’s 5-yard run on a pitch play - and Kody Walker had a 14-yard run to set up Javontee Herndon’s 8-yard end-around touchdown. Tyler Russell overcame Chris Smith’s 10-yard sack to convert third-and-14 with a 24-yard pass, but the Bulldogs later punted.

Arkansas drove to the Mississippi State 32 with the help of Marshall’s 19-yard run before having to punt.

2nd Quarter

ARKANSAS 10, MISSISSIPPI STATE 10

The Bulldogs punted on fourthand-1 from the Arkansas 39. Jonathan Williams had three runs for 39 yards and Julian Horton converted third-and-7 with a 10-yard catch to move into range for Zach Hocker’s career-long 54-yard field goal. Pass plays of 35 and 29 yards moved the Bulldogs inside the 20 for a field goal. Sam Irwin-Hill’s fake punt from the Hogs’ 44 lost 4 yards and Mississippi State cashed in on LaDarius Perkins’ 30-yard touchdown reception from Tyler Russell. Mitchell Loewen fumbled away the ensuing kickoff, but the Bulldogs’ Derrick Milton fumbled it back on a hit by Darius Philon at the Arkansas 1 and Rohan Gaines recovered it.

3rd Quarter

ARKANSAS 17, MISSISSIPPI STATE 10

Arkansas stopped a 63-yard Mississippi State drive at the 11, and the Hogs’ Dan Skipper blocked his third field goal of the year. A false-start penalty stunted an Arkansas drive at its 41 and Sam Irwin-Hill punted to the 15. Jared Collins undercut a Tyler Russell throw for an interception at the Hogs’ 43. Six plays later, Julian Horton took an end-around left for a 22-yard score. The Bulldogs drove 70 yards to the Arkansas 5 as the quarter came to an end.

4th Quarter/OT

MISSISSIPPI STATE 24, ARKANSAS 17

Tyler Russell rolled right and hit Jameon Lewis with a 5-yard touchdown pass on third-and-goal for the Bulldogs. The Razorbacks took over at 10:43 and drove to the Bulldogs’ 9, where Nickoe Whitley ripped the ball away from Alex Collins. Mississippi State reached the Arkansas 17 but was pushed back before Devon Bell missed a 42-yard field goal. Damian Williams ran behind back Josh Robinson for a 25-yard score on the first snap of overtime. The Hogs advanced only 1 yard on their overtime possession before Taveze Calhoun intercepted Brandon Allen on fourth down to end it.
