Minor league sports, especially baseball, is all about promotions. The Arkansas Travelers have promoted their butts off leading up to the unveiling of their new look Wednesday night. Golden ticket baseballs hidden around central Arkansas and a social media frenzy leading up to a big unveiling party at Dickey-Stephens Park. The designs are sharp. I love how the “Swamp Camo” is a blend of Arkansas cypress trees and sage grass. There apparently is a new mascot coming, too, (i’ll miss Shelly) — a creature that is a omen of good luck (whatever that is).
