Bears get in rush in victory over Lions

Tra Doss of Sylvan Hills (6-2, 3-2 5A-Central) accounted for five scores Friday night in the Bears’ 49-22 victory over Little Rock McClellan (0-8, 0-5).

Doss’ first three rushes of the second half all went for touchdowns, and he threw two touchdown passes, including one in the second half that helped Sylvan Hills pull away after leading 14-6 at the half.

Although Doss scored most of the rushing touchdowns, Sylvan Hills had three players rush for more than 10 yards each and finished with 445 yards rushing.

Kylan Wade led the Bears with 183 yards on 17 carries, followed by 119 from Doss, who also threw for 139 yards. Marlon Clemmons added 119 yards on 19 carries.
