LITTLE ROCK — Coaches in the Sun Belt Conference have picked Arkansas-Little Rock to win the women's basketball league title this season.
The conference announced Tuesday that the Trojans were the preseason favorite, followed by Western Kentucky.
Arkansas-Little Rock's Taylor Ford and Taylor Gault were named to the Sun Belt Women's Basketball Preseason All-Conference First Team, along with Arkansas State's Jane Morrill. The first team also includes Western Kentucky's Chastity Gooch and Alexis Govan.
Western Kentucky's Govan was named Sun Belt Conference Preseason Player of the Year.
Arkansas-Little Rock opens its season Nov. 10 by hosting Sam Houston State.
