An elderly woman is dead after she and her husband became stranded overnight during a leisurely ride through Bradley County.
George White, 87, and his wife Margaret, 84, both of Wilmar, were driving Monday on Potlatch Road just west of Warren when their Dodge truck got stuck, forcing George White to attempt to find help, a spokesman for the Bradley County sheriff’s office said.
The couple and their truck were found around 8:50 a.m. Tuesday morning, the spokesman said. Margaret White was found dead at the scene. The spokesman said she died of natural causes.
Arkansas State Police had issued a Silver Alert for the couple late Monday night.
