Parolee accused of threatening woman with knife

A North Little Rock man is accused of threatening to kill a woman while wielding a knife Monday night.

Otis L. Wright, 58, was booked into the Pulaski County jail on charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threatening.

North Little Rock police say the victim reported getting into an argument with Wright at a home in the 1300 block of North Cypress Street.

During the argument, Wright pointed a knife at her and threatened to kill her, according to an arrest report. He later said he would return with "people and guns" and would kill her, the report said.

Police responded and arrested Wright shortly before 11 p.m.

Online records show Wright is on parole through 2015. According to Pulaski County court records, he pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a certain person in 2010 and was sentenced then to five years in prison.
