Party leaders plan Animals Club talk

The chairmen of the state Republican and Democratic parties will address the Political Animals Club on Nov. 6.

Vincent Insalaco, the chairman of the Democratic Party of Arkansas, and Doyle Webb, his counterpart at the Republican Party of Arkansas, will both speak between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Insalaco was elected in September to replace Will Bond as chairman of the Democratic Party of Arkansas. He is a businessman who has worked on several campaigns, including Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign.

Webb, an attorney, is serving his third term as chairman of the Republican Party of Arkansas. He is a former state senator and was chief of staff for Lt. Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller from 2002-06.

The event will be held in the Grand Hall of the Governor’s Mansion, 1800 Center St., in Little Rock.

Admission is $20 per person, which includes lunch, but reservations are required. Information about reservations can be obtained by emailing sedwards@arkindcolleges. org.
