Southern Arkansas University broke three enrollment records this fall semester, university officials said in a statement Friday.
The university set a record enrollment of 3,404 students — 74 students more than the enrollment number for fall 2012, university officials said. Freshman enrollment also increased with more than 61 students registered than in fall 2012.
The university's freshman class is 663, officials said.
The number of students living in university residence halls also set a record with 1,452 students.
University enrollment figures become official after the end of the 11th day of classes, officials said.
