Three held after laptop grabbed at Bryant Starbucks

Authorities arrested three men in Little Rock after one of them grabbed a laptop from a woman at a Bryant Starbucks and then fled the scene, police said.

Jerric Taylor, 21, Brandon Tucker, 18, and Calvin Stephens, 19, are each facing robbery and theft of property charges.

The Bryant Police Department says the victim was in the Starbucks at the Alcoa Exchange shopping center when a man ran over and grabbed her laptop. He had reportedly been with two others who came and went from the store several times without buying anything.

"A brief struggle took place and the victim said she thought the man was going to hit her so she let go of the laptop," police wrote in a news release.

The man and the other two with him then ran to a nearby car which then fled the area, police said. A witness took down the license plate, which returned to a residence on Joyce Court in Little Rock.

The three suspects were arrested there and the laptop was recovered, police said.

Online jail records show all three suspects remain in the Saline County jail without bail set Thursday morning.
