Gunman emerges from bush as employees arrive at LR Burger King

Two masked men, including one who was armed with a handgun, emerged from a bush outside a Little Rock Burger King and ordered two employees onto the ground before fleeing, authorities said.

It happened about 5 a.m. Friday at the location at 11410 N. Rodney Parham Road, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

The employees told investigators the would-be robbers came out of the bush, displayed the gun and "told them to get on the ground," the report said.

One employee did, but the other ran west from the area "and did not look back," the report said. The two men then ran north behind the business without taking anything.

A black mask one of the men had been wearing was recovered nearby, police said, but the men weren't located.
