Lucy Hamlin leans on her husband's foot, Specialist Timothy Hamlin, as they wait to be allowed back onto Fort Hood, Texas, where they reside on Wednesday, April 2, 2014. A shooting occurred on the base with at least four dead and 14 injured according to the officials.

FORT HOOD, Texas — At least three military personnel remain in critical condition after a gunman at Fort Hood killed three people and wounded 16 others before committing suicide.

A spokesman for Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple on Thursday said three patients are critical and six are serious. Deke Jones says eight males and one female were admitted after Wednesday afternoon's gunfire.

Fort Hood officials did not immediately provide details on the other seven people who were shot or otherwise hurt during the rampage blamed on an Iraq War veteran being treated for mental illness.

I don't care if you kill yourself, but why take innocent people with you? They didn't do anything to you. Don't put your grief on other people. That grief will never go away.
