Ex-Arkansas pitcher Arizona

FAYETTEVILLE - Former Arkansas pitcher Mike Bolsinger is scheduled to make his major league debut for the Arizona Diamondbacks in a start against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday at Dodger Stadium.

Bolsinger, 26, was promoted from Class AAA Reno to Arizona on Monday. He had a 2-0 record and 1.42 ERA in two starts for Reno this season with10 strikeouts in 12 2/3 innings.

Bolsinger, from McKinney, Texas, was a combined 16-10 at Arkansas in 2008-2010 and signed with the Diamondbacks after being a 15th-round draft pick in 2010. He is the seventh former Razorback on a major league roster this season along with pitchers Cliff Lee (Philadelphia Phillies), Drew Smyly (Detroit Tigers), Dallas Keuchel (Houston Astros) and Blake Parker (Chicago Cubs), infielder Logan Forsythe (Tampa Bay Rays) and outfielder Craig Gentry (Oakland Athletics).
