Little Rock police are looking for a suspect in a Thursday afternoon shooting that left a 38-year-old man dead.
Officers responded about 3:20 p.m. to a home at 5224 Rinke Road, a dead-end street off Geyer Springs Road, where Martin Henderson was lying on the floor of the home's entryway, suffering from a gunshot would in the chest, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.
Henderson was taken to UAMS Medical Center, where he died about 4:10 p.m., the report states.
Lt. Sidney Allen said by email Friday that police want Ronnie Hervey, 35, who is also known as "100," on a first-degree murder charge.
Hervey has been known to stay at different motels in southwest Little Rock, but his most recent whereabouts are unknown, police said. He stands 5-foot-11, weighs 212 pounds and might be driving a 2000s-model red sedan, the department added.
He should be considered armed and dangerous, and police ask that those with information on his whereabouts should call detective Brad Silas at (501) 918-5388 or any homicide detective at (501) 371-4660.
The shooting was the 20th homicide in Little Rock this year and marked the eighth killing within seven days.
