Ex-Rock Hall leader takes El Dorado job

EL DORADO — A former CEO and president of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum has taken a job in Arkansas.

The El Dorado News-Times reported that Terry Stewart has started this month as CEO and board chairman of the El Dorado Festivals & Events.

The organization's president and chief operating officer said Stewart's background made him a perfect fit for the leadership role. He said Stewart is the ideal person to help distinguish the south Arkansas city as an entertainment hub.

Stewart retired from the Rock Hall in Ohio in December. According to Ohio newspaper The Plain Dealer, Stewart was the longest-serving top executive in the hall's history.

Stewart has served as president for Marvel Entertainment Group, a comic book giant known for Spiderman, the X-Men and the Avengers.
