A wreck Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, on westbound Interstate 630 in Little Rock blocks a lane of traffic.

Interstate 630 in Little Rock was backed up in both directions Friday morning as the Arkansas State Police worked an accident on the westbound side.

Westbound I-630 just west of the Rodney Parham Road exit was blocked at 8 a.m., and only one lane of traffic was moving through. On the eastbound side, one lane was also blocked near Mississippi Avenue.

All lanes were open by 8:10 a.m., but crews were working on the shoulders of both sides of the highway.

The Arkansas Online traffic map showed traffic was clogged for stretches in each direction, and delays were expected to remain for some time.
