Diamond Bear brewery hosts NLR chamber’s networking mixer

It rained, it poured -- two ways to describe the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event July 31 at Diamond Bear Brewing Co.'s new home.

Clearly, there's interest in the business community in seeing the brewery, which moved from Little Rock, and its new restaurant, which opened in June. The place was packed. There was an estimated 400-500 attendees, the most ever!

Not the most ever?

"Taste of the Town has actually always been our highest attended After Hours networking event, with typically a thousand or more," said Ashley Hight, executive vice president of the chamber. That's coming up Oct. 1 at Verizon Arena.

Guests dined on a number of heavy hors d'oeuvres (enough to make a dinner of it) and sampled the Southern Blonde, the Pale Ale, the Presidential IPA and other pours.

The sponsors included Allegra Print & Imaging, American Pie Pizza, Arkansas Ale House, Celebrations Events & Entertainment, Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Diamond Bear Brewing Co., Glazer's distributors, Moe's Southwest Grill, Newk's Express Cafe, Premium Refreshment, Signs First, and Whole Hog Cafe-North Little Rock. Tickets were $10 in advance.
