Police reported finding a trove of drugs that included hundreds of prescription pills and large amounts of marijuana and cocaine when they executed a search warrant at a North Little Rock home Friday.

Officers entered a house at 111 Sheridan Road, the home of Alex Coleman, shortly after 6 a.m. They reported finding 1.26 pounds of marijuana; about 13 ounces of cocaine; 2.3 ounces of methamphetamine; about a quarter of an ounce of heroin; 475 oxycodone pills; 114 hydrocodone pills; 22 Adderall pills; 64 pills of alprozolam, also known as Xanax; 32 methadone pills and a morphine pill.

Police reported finding $32,378 in Coleman's bedroom. Elsewhere in the house, police found a digital scale, small plastic bags and a .22-caliber rifle that had been reported stolen in Pulaski County, the report says.

Police obtained a search warrant after responding to a domestic disturbance at the house and arresting Coleman the previous day. Coleman's roommate, Ashlee Phillips, called police about 6 p.m. Thursday, saying Coleman had struck her in the face.

Coleman pushed officers and was stunned with a Taser before being detained, police reported. During the altercation, Coleman purportedly had a bag of cocaine hanging from his pocket. Twelve hours later, police returned with a warrant to search the home.

Coleman, 37, was charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, maintaining a drug premises near a drug-free zone and numerous counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was additionally charged with third-degree domestic battery, refusal to submit to arrest, theft by receiving and possession of a firearm by certain persons. Police reported that Coleman is convicted felon from Arizona.

Late Saturday, he was being held in lieu of bond at the Pulaski County jail.

Jail attack leavesdeputy with cuts

A Pulaski County jail officer was hospitalized Friday after being attacked by an inmate.

Brandon Sanders, 24, punched Sgt. Daryl Musaddiq in the face while Sanders was being transported between jail units, according to an arrest report. Musaddiq suffered eye and nose lacerations. He was treated at a hospital and released, sheriff's office spokesman Lt. Chris Ameling said.

Sanders was arrested Thursday and was being held for U.S. marshals on federal charges, details of which were unavailable. He was being moved to a different unit Friday because he threatened to injure another inmate, according to the report.

"Apparently there had been some prior issues between the two of them at another facility and one of them asked to be moved," Ameling said.

Sanders threatened other jail officers after attacking Musaddiq, the report says. He was being held in a segregated unit under "complete lockdown" on Saturday, Ameling said.

Sanders, of Little Rock, was charged with aggravated assault against an employee of a correctional facility, obstructing governmental operations, disorderly conduct and impairing operations of a vital public facility. He was being held in lieu of bond.
