LITTLE ROCK — U.S. House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy is calling for the Keystone XL pipeline to move forward as he kicks off a series of campaign visits for congressional hopefuls in Arkansas.

On Wednesday, McCarthy praised Republican 2nd Congressional District candidate French Hill as a job creator and criticized his Democratic rival as a career politician too closely aligned with the Obama administration.

McCarthy appeared with Hill at Welspun Tubular, which has more than 350 miles of pipe awaiting the Keystone project.

Hill is running against former North Little Rock Mayor Pat Hays.

McCarthy also plans a stop Wednesday to campaign for 4th Congressional District candidate Bruce Westerman. Former presidential nominee Mitt Romney is scheduled to appear at an event Wednesday in Jonesboro for GOP gubernatorial nominee Asa Hutchinson.

Maybe, but then Pryor doesn't even have the guts to try to bring in Obama to campaign on his own behalf.

Pryor, and all Dems, need to trumpet the passage of Obamacare. Why aren't Dems running on that?

Mitt Romney, who is a Bishop, a high holy man in his church, might just be the Republican nominee for president in 2016. He is clearly running again, although like Hillary Clinton, he denies it. But he is criss-crossing the nation, drumming up support, again. What would be so wrong for Romney to run against Hillary? Lots of people feel a lot better about Willard "Mitt" Romney than they do Barack Obama, as his positive ratings are higher than Obama's. So what if Mitt is a Wall Street banker from Massachusetts? White Arkansans loved Mitt the last time he ran, and voted for him in droves! Nixon ran for president twice as the nominee and won the second time. Maybe Mitt can do it, too.

Is Pryor going to bring in Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi?

Agree, I think America has buyers remorse with Obama. If there was a re-vote today, I believe Romney would win the rematch.

The weapons of mass destruction hysteria worked well in 2002 and 2004 for the GOP but shot the GOP in the foot in 2006. Obamacare hysteria worked well for the GOP in 2010 but fizzled in 2012 and may well sicken the GOP in 2014 as even Obama haters are protected by the ACA against having coverage denied because of pre existing conditions, chronic illness, having policies canceled if one becomes sick or being cut off by insurance companies after hitting annual or lifetime caps and being had by fraudulent insurance polices that only cover being kicked by Harry Reid.
