Rollover fatal to 1 halts U.S. 67 traffic

One person was killed Friday in a rollover crash near the Pulaski County-Lonoke County line, according to Arkansas State Police spokesman Bill Sadler.

Northbound traffic on U.S. 67 was blocked for about two hours after the crash at 3:05 p.m.

The unidentified driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger was hospitalized with injuries that weren't life-threatening, Sadler said.

Both lanes on the highway had been reopened by 5:07 p.m., according to Sadler.

Further details on the crash were not immediately available.

On Thursday, three people died in crashes on Arkansas roadways, according to state police.

Bobby Fagan, 41, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Arkansas 463 in Trumann. He was driving a 1997 Hyundai north when the vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned in a water-filled ditch at 11 p.m. Fagan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Conditions at the time were clear and dry, according to state police.

Lloyd Kirkpatrick, 66, was killed in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 71 in Sevier County. He was driving a 1988 Jeep north when he attempted to make a U-turn and was struck by an 18-wheeler traveling in the same direction. The crash happened shortly before noon.

Kirkpatrick, of Gillam, was taken to De Queen Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, Jeffery Walters, was not injured.

Conditions at the time were clear and fair, state police reported.

Brian Sizemore, 34, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Crawford County. He was driving a 2006 Jeep south on Barcelona Road when the vehicle ran off the road and struck a culvert. The vehicle then overturned and Sizemore, of Alma, was thrown out.

The time of the crash was unknown.
