The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is providing free health care services to the public Monday afternoon at its 12th Street Health & Wellness Center, officials say.

The event, “Health on 12th for the Holidays,” will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the center at 4010 W. 12th St.

Free mouth swab HIV testing will be provided by Jefferson Comprehensive Care Systems Inc. in addition to free blood pressure checks, body mass index estimates, glucose testing and general physical examinations, a UAMS news release states.

Food and activities for children will be available at the event.

The 12th Street Health & Wellness Center is a free clinic run by students under supervision of faculty.
