Helen Elizabeth Wisner became the bride of Craig Michael Strickland at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Chapel Ruins at Sassafras Springs Vineyard in Springdale. The Rev. Aaron Matthews officiated.

Elizabeth and John Wisner III of Sherwood are the parents of the bride. Her grandparents are Laquita Wisner and the late John Charles Wisner Jr., both of Star City, and the late Daveda and Bill Misenhimer of Paragould.

The groom is the son of Joanne Craig and Larry Rhodes of Greenwood and Randy and Julie Strickland of Fort Smith. He is the grandson of Mae and Bill Craig of Mount Vernon, Mo.; the late Wilma Craig of Alma; Elva Lee Strickland of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and the late Virginia and Vernon Strickland of Blytheville.

The ceremony site was decorated with candles in large Moroccan-style lanterns and arrangements of flowers in shades of royal purple, red, orange and yellow. Music was by violinist Eric Dysart, guitarist Josh Bryant and vocalists Toby Freeman, Brandon Robald and Issac Senty.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gold, ivory and silver gown with a mermaid flared skirt. Her sheer sleeves were embellished with lace appliques. She carried a cascade of orchids, garden roses and protea in fall shades.

Dr. Holly Sherrill of Sherwood was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lindsey Adams of Farmington; Gabbie Cuellar, Jenna Jones and Jennifer Peters, all of Fayetteville; and Katie Ryburn and Kaley Uptergrove, both of Little Rock. They wore champagne floor-length dresses with vintage brown chinchilla faux fur wraps and carried bouquets similar to the bride's.

Flower girl was Blakely Uptergrove of Little Rock.

Best man was Michael Dawson of Fort Smith. Groomsmen were Josh Bryant of Bentonville, Monty Elam of Searcy, Jordan Jones of Fort Smith, Jake O'Kelley of Alma and Jason Ryburn of Little Rock.

A reception at The Stables, also at Sassafras Springs Vineyard, followed the ceremony. Guest tables covered in teal cloths held white Cinderella pumpkins, lanterns, lighted branches and arrangements of fall-colored flowers in gold vases.

The bride graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Epsilon chapter and will have a master's degree upon completing her thesis. She was named Miss Arkansas USA 2014 and teaches at Shiloh Christian School.

The groom attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia and received a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Arkansas. He was a member of the school's golf and baseball teams. He is lead vocalist for Backroad Anthem.

The couple will make their home in Springdale.
