Taco Bell in LR robbed at gunpoint

Two men, including one who was armed with a gun, robbed a Little Rock Taco Bell and one of its employees Sunday morning, police said.

It happened about 9:30 a.m. at the location at 1200 John Barrow Road.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, one of the men was holding a black, semiautomatic handgun by his side when the men entered the business and demanded cash from the safe.

The employee hit the silent alarm before opening the safe and handing over $300 that was inside, the report said. The men, who the employee noted "were very calm and appeared to know where everything was," also took about $100 from the woman's purse, police wrote.

The robbers did not point the gun at the employee and never threatened her with it, the report added.

Police spotted one of the robbers jumping a fence near the business as the officer arrived on the scene, but the man got away. Authorities did retrieve a "latex-like glove" he dropped in the area and spoke with a nearby resident who said a man matching the description knocked on his door before fleeing, the report said.

No arrests have been made.

The robbers are described as black men. One stood 5-foot-10, weighed about 175 pounds and wore a dark-colored hoodie, a white T-shirt and bluejeans. The other stood 6-foot-1, weighed about 180 pounds and wore a black mask, a white T-shirt and gray denim pants.
