ARKANSAS TECH 69, SW OKLAHOMA ST. 65

D.J. Jethroe had 19 points and six rebounds as Arkansas Tech (6-5, 2-2 Great American Conference) held off Southwestern Oklahoma (6-4, 1-3) on Wednesday night at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.

Jay Murphy scored 18 points for the Wonder Boys.

Trent Washington led Southwestern Oklahoma with 20 points.

ARKANSAS TECH 97, SW OKLAHOMA ST. 52

Anissa Pounds scored 21 points to lead Arkansas Tech (9-1, 4-0 Great American Conference) in a rout of Southwestern Oklahoma State (2-7, 0-4) at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville. Fatima Adams and Breonna Johnson each had 13 points for the Golden Suns. Caroline Eubanks and Fabiana Monte both scored 11 points while Katrina Hayden and Jacinda Myers-Sanders each added 10.

NORTHWESTERN (LA.) ST. 61, ARK.-MONTICELLO 56

Northwestern (La.) State (5-4) came back in the second half to beat Arkansas-Monticello at Prather Coliseum in Natchitoches, La.

The game was an exhibition for Arkansas-Monticello, a member of the NCAA Division II Great American Conference, while it counted for Northwestern State, which plays in the NCAA Division I Southland Conference.

Nikki Mullen and Nelsha Peterson each had 15 points for UAM.

Janelle Perez led the Lady Demons with 13 points.

EMPORIA ST. 85, SOUTHERN ARKANSAS 42

Emporia State (9-0) held Southern Arkansas (4-7) to 28 percent shooting, handing the Lady Muleriders a loss at W.T. Watson Center in Magnolia.

The Lady Muleriders trailed 41-20 at halftime.

Kelly Moten led Emporia State with 14 points. Rosa Bryant scored a game-high 20 points for Southern Arkansas.
