A routine bridge inspection will require lane closures next week on an Interstate 55 bridge near West Memphis, state highway officials said Wednesday.
Crews inspecting the bridge over the Mississippi River near West Memphis will reduce northbound traffic to one lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Jan. 9, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said in a statement. The outside lanes will be closed during that period each day, weather permitting.
Crews will use barrels and warning signs to control traffic, officials added.
