Service field projects sought by Clinton School for ’ 14-15

The University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service is seeking applications for field projects for the 2014-15 academic year. The projects give students working toward their Master of Public Service degrees practical experience in public service while meeting identified needs of partner organizations.

“Every year, students, partner organizations, and local communities all greatly benefit from our field service projects,” said Dean Skip Rutherford in a news release. “We’re excited to form new partnerships.”

Nonprofit organizations, government agencies, businesses, foundations, colleges, universities and other organizations may submit proposals for individual or group projects by visiting clintonschool.uasys.edu/academics and clicking on the “Apply to be a Field Service Partner” link.

Practicum projects are selected by the school and will be accomplished by teams of three or four students between October and May 2015. Applications for practicum projects are due April 11.

Capstone projects are selected and completed by individual students based on their career goals. Applications for capstone projects are accepted on a rolling basis until August, but the school recommends submitting proposals by March 7.
