Former Garland County court clerk accused of embezzling deposits

A former Garland County court clerk is accused of embezzling thousands in court deposits.

The Hot Springs Sentinel-Record reported Thursday that 49-year-old Donna Linda Schleeter faces a felony charge of theft of property more than $5,000.

Schleeter, a former Garland County District Court clerk, was arrested Tuesday after an investigation into allegations she stole more than $40,000 from court deposits in 2012, the newspaper reported.

An arraignment is set for March 3 in Garland County Circuit Court.
