MovieStyle: Making sense of Oscar

In deference to the drawing power of the Sochi Olympics, the Academy Awards telecast was pushed back a week this year. But that doesn’t stop our man Philip Martin from offering his thoughts of what the little gold statues mean. (And he’s doing that this week, so he can get out of the way of the serious Oscar prognosticators who will show up next week.)

But if those offerings don’t intrigue you, take heart — the Oscar films are already showing up on DVD. In her Home Movies column, Karen Martin writes about this week’s release of Nebraska.
