Globetrotters’ fans set rules

The Harlem Globetrotters make their annual pilgrimage to North Little Rock’s Verizon Arena as part of their 2014 “Fans Rule” World Tour at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

They’ll be taking fan participation to a new level via online voting, harlemglobetrotters.com/rule, for which new game-changing rules they want to see:

Both teams will have a “Hot Hand Jersey” they can pass around; the player who is wearing it will receive double points on made baskets.

“Make or Miss”: Each quarter begins with only two players for each team on the court; another player enters the game after one team scores, but a player missing a shot must leave the court.

“Trick Shot Challenge”: Each team can throw up to three challenge flags that require the other team to make a trick shot, which, if made, earns five points and if missed, gives five points to the other team.

Tickets are $23-$113 plus handling charges. Call (800) 745-3000 or visit harlemglobetrotters.com or ticketmaster.com.
