Homeless woman punched in face, robbed of $400

Little Rock police are looking for a man they say struck a homeless woman several times in the face and stole about $400 in cash from early Thursday morning.

The robbery occurred about 12:15 a.m. at 2608 S. Maple St., according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Sandra Young, 45, told officers a man — whom she identified as "Ace" — had punched her several times in the face and breast before shoving her out of his silver vehicle. Young said "Ace" then grabbed her money and cellphone and purposely backed his vehicle over her leg, according to the report.

Young told authorities she was not injured and refused medical attention, according to the report. When officers arrived, Young appeared intoxicated and confused about the details of the robbery, according to the report.

She was taken by authorities to the Greyhound bus station in North Little Rock, the report states.

Police say the robber is a 40-year-old Little Rock black man standing about 5-foot-4 and weighing about 160 pounds.
