Suspect in Christmas Eve homicide turns himself in

A man who, police say, is a primary suspect in a fatal Christmas Eve shooting was taken into custody Friday afternoon.

Jamar Jordan turned himself in to Little Rock police at 2:35 p.m., according to a statement from Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen.

Jordan is charged with the murder of 26-year-old Austin Burks, who was shot in the head on the 1500 block of Adams Street around 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 24. Burks was transported a local hospital and died shortly after 4 p.m., Arkansas Online previously reported.

No other arrests have been made in the case, according to the news release.
