Service has been restored for more than 800 Entergy customers in Little Rock who lost power Wednesday afternoon.

The utility reported on its website that more than 820 customers lost power about 1:20 p.m. in an area south of Interstate 630 mostly between Woodrow and Chester streets. Many of the outages are along or near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Daisy Gatson Bates Drive.

By 2:20 p.m., the service had been restored.

An Entergy spokesman said the cause of the power failure wasn't known.

An official with Arkansas Children's Hospital said several outbuildings off the main campus were in the dark but the main hospital never lost electricity.

"No patient care has been affected by it," said hospital spokesman Ginny Hensley.
