Things are heating up in local theaters, as some of the best films of the just past year are making their way into theaters after their limited engagements in our coastal cultural capitals.
So this week moviegoers will have the option of seeing Spike Jonze’s Her, the Coen brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis, Peter Berg’s Lone Survivor, John Wells’ August: Osage County.
Oh, and there’s also Renny Harling’s The Legend of Hercules, which will probably top next week’s box office report. MovieStyle editor Philip Martin reviews the first three, while Karen Martin assays the fourth, and the powers that be withheld Hercules from the prying eyes of critics.
