Pryor reports raising $1.1 million in final months of '13

LITTLE ROCK — U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor's campaign says he raised $1.1 million in the final three months of 2013, as the Democratic lawmaker from Arkansas gears up for a costly and nationally watched fight for a third term.

Pryor's campaign said Monday that he raised more than $5.3 million in 2013. The campaign must file its end-of-year and fourth-quarter fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission by Jan. 31. Pryor's campaign said he ended the year with $4.2 million in the bank for his re-election bid.

Pryor is running for re-election against freshman Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton, who represents south Arkansas' 4th District.

The race has already spawned an expensive television air war between Cotton and Pryor, and outside groups that are expected to play heavily in the race.

Pryor's TV commericial w/ him holding & raising the Bible shows how desperate he is over 11 months before the election. All the money he will raise & spend does not erase his voting record, and Arkansans are smart enough to remember how he has voted.

People of Arkansas, It is time to take a stand and help put America back on the path to prosperity, freedom and security! Do not make a donation to Sen. Mark Pryor! And do not vote to put this guy back the office. Additionally, do not send him any money…!

Particularly for him to run a TV ad saying the Bible is his guide when he openly endorses the murdering of children through abortion. Where is that in his bible???

What could be more sickening; what could reflect any worse on the intelligence level of all Arkansans? In the name of common sense, let’s presume that this senatorial election/reelection does not come down to a contest of sanctimonious Bible thumping. Somehow, that always brings up the unsettling specter of inability to keep church and state separate. That kind of murderous religio/political insanity goes on in the Middle East as a matter of course, not here in the State of Arkansas in the very heart of the good old USA. We’re far smarter, far better than this! Aren’t we?
