FONTAINE — Authorities in Greene County say the weekend shooting death of a 3-year-old boy was accidental.

Greene County Sheriff Dan Langston said 3-year-old Logan Carter of Fontaine died from a gunshot wound in his head. The sheriff said a relative accidentally shot Logan with a .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun Saturday.

According to the sheriff's office, the boy's family took him to Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould after the shooting. The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Langston said officials are still investigating the case to determine whether any charges should be filed.

Was the shooter drunk or on drugs? Had to be one of them. Another poor child dead because of inbred relatives.

Original story on Jan 11: "Langston said the boy was shot on a county road near Fontaine in southwestern Greene County."
Now the story has changed the child was shot in a home. Either someone is lying, covering up, or - just pis* poor journalism.

What a heartbreaking story. This was somebody's little boy. How disrespectful to use this webpage as an outlet for anything other than sympathy for the family.
