A 2nd surrenders in robbery-slaying

A second man turned himself in Monday in connection with the robbery and fatal shooting Friday night outside a southwest Little Rock apartment complex.

Tracy Trevor Bailey Jr., 18, of Little Rock is charged with capital murder and two counts of committing a terrorist act in the shooting that left 31-year-old Thomas Gilbert dead and another man wounded.

A day earlier, Tracy Brown, 17, also of Little Rock, surrendered on identical charges. Both were being held in the Pulaski County jail Monday night without bail. A third, unidentified man wanted in the crime remained at large, said Little Rock police spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen.

Terrence Brison, 32, told officers he was in the front passenger seat of a Chevrolet Tahoe with Gilbert at an apartment complex at 7414 Mabelvale Pike, between Forbing and North Chicot roads, when “three short, heavyset” black men confronted them shortly after 9:30 p.m.
