Ribeyes in pants land man in jail, police say

A Little Rock man was arrested Monday after security at a local grocery store spotted him concealing steaks in his pants, authorities said.

Maury Wilson, 49, was arrested on a charge of theft of property.

According to a Little Rock police report, security at the Food Giant at 1701 S. Main St. observed Wilson "concealing ribeye steaks in his pants."

Police responded and arrested Wilson on the misdemeanor charge as well as outstanding warrants from Searcy and Sherwood, the report said.

He was no longer listed as an inmate at the Pulaski County jail Tuesday morning. A Monday court date is set.
