Man in disturbance with mother threatens to burn down house, police say

A 20-year-old Little Rock man threatened to burn down a house after getting into a disturbance with his mother, police said.

Bobby Poindexter was booked into the Pulaski County jail on a charge of second-degree terroristic threatening. He remained in the jail Wednesday and remained there Thursday morning with bail set at $2,500.

According to a Little Rock Police Department arrest report, Poindexter got into a disturbance with his mother about 7 a.m. at 22 Harrow Drive. The report lists that as Poindexter's residence; it wasn't clear whether his mother lived there as well.

He later "threatened to burn to the house and kill everyone in it," police wrote. He made the threat multiple times while officers were present, authorities added.

The report didn't indicate what started the disturbance.

A Feb. 5 court date was scheduled.
