Campbell documentary

The Arkansas Motion Picture Institute will preview the documentary Glen Campbell ... l'll Be Me, a look at Campbell's 151-performance farewell tour that followed the 2011 announcement that the singer had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ron Robinson Theater, 100 River Market Ave. Little Rock.

Doors open at 6:15. The event will feature an audience discussion with producer and director James Keach, producer Trevor Albert and members of the Campbell family, who will also present a short, a cappella performance of their favorite Glen Campbell songs. Sponsors are AARP, the Capital Hotel and the Central Arkansas Library System.

Admission is $25 by advance reservation online at arkansasmpi.org.

Polka anniversary

Grammy-winning polka band Brave Combo will make a stop on its current road trip celebrating its 35th anniversary at Eureka Springs' Basin Park, 3 Spring St., at 6 p.m. Saturday. Opera gala

Metropolitan Opera soprano Latonia Moore and tenor Joel Burcham, Opera in the Ozarks alumni, will headline Opera in the Ozarks' summer Gala Concert, 4 p.m. Sunday at the Arend Arts Center, 1901 S.E. J St., Bentonville.

Moore and Burcham will perform scenes and arias from Georges Bizet's Carmen, Amilcar Ponchielli's La Gioconda, Jules Massenet's Herodiade and Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky's Eugen Onegin with the Opera in the Ozarks Orchestra. The entire Opera in the Ozarks' company will join in for extended excerpts from Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana and an adaptation of the final scene from Richard Wagner's Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg.

The concert is a tribute to general director emeritus Jim Swiggart. A silent auction will start at 3 p.m.; a reception will follow the concert. Tickets are $27. Call (479) 253-8595 or visit the website, opera.org.

Ozark Storytellers will hold its monthly story swap, 6:30-8 p.m. today in the White Oak Auditorium, Administration Building, Ozark Folk Center State Park, 1032 Park Ave., Mountain View.
