TEMPLE, Texas — Emergency officials have recovered a body from a central Texas lake after a three-and-a-half-hour search.
The Bell County sheriff's office said the body was found at Belton Lake near Temple about 1 p.m. Wednesday. Officials have not released any additional information.
A witness told police that a man fell from a boat and into the water about 9:30 a.m.
KCEN-TV in Temple reported that the empty boat was seen driving in circles on the lake and that clothes were found in the water. The station reported that the boat and a truck near a boat ramp were registered in Arkansas.
