BULL SHOALS — Police say a woman has drowned at Brown's Beach on Bull Shoals Lake.

A witness told Mountain Home radio station KTLO that the woman had a child on her back before she drowned Sunday evening. The station reports the child is unharmed.

The woman was taken by boat to an Air Evac Life team helicopter. Volunteer firefighters and authorities with the Baxter County sheriff's office assisted with the attempted rescue.

Police have not identified the woman. The Marion County sheriff's office is investigating the death.
