Applications accepted for energy assistance

BENTON — The Central Arkansas Development Council is still accepting applications for the regular Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.

The program helps households with home energy bills. Eligible households must meet income guidelines and furnish proof of all household income for the month prior to applying. Income eligibility limits are set at 60 percent of the state's median income level, or monthly countable income of $1,482 for a household of one.

Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis in Calhoun, Clark, Columbia, Dallas, Hot Spring, Lonoke, Montgomery, Ouachita, Pike, Pulaski, Saline and Union counties. More information is available by contacting the nearest Central Arkansas Development Council office.
