LR woman, 21, accused of filing false robbery report

A 21-year-old woman falsely reported she was the victim of an attempted robbery in Little Rock earlier this month, a claim that led to suspects being taken into custody, authorities said.

Felicia Marie Peters of Little Rock was arrested Thursday afternoon on a charge of filing a false police report, a Class D felony.

According to a Little Rock Police Department arrest report, Peters told authorities she was robbed July 4 and that subsequently "suspects were taken into custody."

A separate incident report filed the day of the robbery indicated Peters told authorities she pulled into a parking spot at the Wal-Mart at 2700 S. Shackleford Road when a man walked up and then got into the passenger seat of her Toyota Corolla. She said the man asked for money and grabbed her hand, causing a small scratch, before fleeing when a store security vehicle passed through the area, the report said.

Police took fingerprints from Peters' vehicle. The report did not identify the suspects or indicate who was taken into custody.

Police said in the arrest report that it was later "discovered that Felicia Peters knew the suspects and made a false report."

She was arrested about 3 p.m. Thursday at her Little Rock home.

Peters remained in the Pulaski County jail Friday morning with bail set at $2,500. Police say she is due in court Thursday.
